Each Monday morning, as part of My Life As A Blogger, I browse the internets for all kinds of entertaining, thought provoking, scandalous, and just flat out controversial news. Sometimes it’s about surfing, sometimes it’s about fashion,  sometimes politics, sometimes just a nice bit of good deeds done by someone… anyway, since I have 4 hours every Monday to find it all and be inspired by it, I thought I would share my top five favorite finds for you to enjoy this coming week. Not sure yet if this will become a weekly thing… but, here we go!

******

First up, a very in depth look at the “No Questions Asked Return Policy” written by Dennis Nazari for TransWorld Business. com… click HERE to read.

Retail Rant: “No Questions Asked” Return Policies Are The Single Biggest Threat To The Snowboard Industry

Second choice :: Nice little EXTREMELY controversial topic… “Who Can Lay Claim to The Wedge?” surfers, bodysurfers, spongers, skimboarders, or no one, a look at blackballs. Written by Emily Foxhall for the LA Times, Click HERE to read.

The question is: Who can lay claim to the Wedge?

Third up :: “Surfline Announces World Champion Roundtable”… Ok, let’s get real, if you have Surfline bookmarked, as we all do, you have it set for your favorite surf spot, so you probably missed this little gem. Kelly, Mick, Parko, and CJ sit down for a group chat… Click HERE for details.

The goal is not to have an interviewer/interviewee one-on-one dynamic -- seen and done a million times -- but to have 'em sit down and talk to each other.

#4… Nice little educational piece on America’s ludicrous wealth gap… Hey, I told you, it’s not all going to be about surfing.

This 2012 video from Politizane does an excellent job of illustrating the massive, well-documented gap between the wealth-distribution that Americans believe they have, the distribution they would favor (regardless of political affiliation), and what America actually has: a system that rewards CEOs at 380 times the rate of their average employees.

Lastly, since you obviously need it after watching the Wealth Gap video, and with Halloween just around the corner… Here is a recipe for a Zombie.

Note :: This drink will make you drunk!!! No, REALLY, you can NOT expect to go on and be productive after drinking this… you have been warned!

Refreshingly Boozy! Just drink it responsibly, and never drink and drive!
