Hoop it UP and Scoop ‘Em UP!!!!

So, you like lobster, but you don’t like lobster store prices?? You want to catch your own lobster, but you are clueless as to how to start? You have heard good things about ‘Hoop Netting’ but aren’t sure what kind of gear you would need….? Well then buddy, we have your weekend plans SET!!! Our good friends at Fastlane Kayaking & Sailing will teach you everything you would ever need to know about Hoop Netting for Lobster at a fun free event on Saturday, November 9th, from 10-noon.

Come by Fastlane (located at 2610 Ingraham St San Diego, 92109) and learn from a panel of experts who are tops in their field in all things Hoop! Rock Cod Rick from the radio show ‘Let’s Talk Hookup’ will be the MC for the day. There will be free snacks to munch on while you listen to the panel and watch along on giant flat screen televisions. On deck are Jim Salazar, who literally wrote the book on hooping called ‘Hooping it up’, Larry ‘The Professor’ Laumann, a Fastlane team member, and Kevin ‘Sea Samurai’ Nakada,  of the Hobie Fishing Team. This team of fishing legends will leave you with no question unanswered when it comes to the art of the hoop… I’ll even give you a starter tip :: a great bait of choice is the Salmon head – who knew?? These guys knew, that’s why you have to make it down!

Stay after the seminar is over and head out to the waters edge and give it all a go. Demos of the Hobie Pro Angler Kayak and the Hobie Outback will be available to try. The team at Fastlane will do their best to accommodate everyone’s demo needs. Seats are limited to 100 just to keep things mellow. Bring a friend or two and get started planning that next bro-cation. Can’t wait to see you there!!

A video from our friends at Fastlane showing you a little taste of what you can hope to experience on Saturday… and, as a bonus, it’s set to some really relaxing jazz music!
